Skye's outdoor centre since 1990 - Activities and accommodation for groups, families and individuals

no.9

Self-catering accommodation

No 9 sits in the heart of the crofting township of Linicro, one mile south of Whitewave.  Built in the early 1970’s as a family home it was converted in 2017 to accommodate a single bedroomed flat and a larger 3 bedroomed facility.  Each of these properties can be rented separately, together or you can rent an individual room to share the kitchen/dining facilities with others.  An ideal spot for a larger family, a group of friends or take the chance of meeting some like minded folk around the dining table.

COVID-19: Currently No9 is offered as one unit of all three bedrooms.

GreaUlainn

GROUND FLOOR DOUBLE EN-SUITE ROOM

Named after the village cleared in the 19th century and whose ruins are east of No 9, nestled in the lee of the ridge. Greaulainn is a ground floor double ensuite room with the option of a pull-down settee suitable for a child.

Sneosdal

FIRST FLOOR EN-SUITE TWIN ROOM

Named after the loch, which is accessed by track from Kilmuir Village Hall, and hides under the big cliffs where it is often possible to see eagles. Sneasdal is a twin ensuite.

Ascrib

FIRST FLOOR EN-SUITE LARGE DOUBLE ROOM

Named after the islands in Loch Snizort, which lie to the west between Trotternish and Waternish. Ascrib is a large double ensuite, again with the option of a pull-down settee suitable for a child.

Skye has attracted visitors for generations, and we have been lucky to host visitors from all over the world for over 30 years.  It is our aim to offer simple, clean and affordable accommodation in an amazing setting.  While the Trotternish peninsula is home to many of the bucket list, “must see” scenic venues it has much much more to offer.  We hope that our guests will stay for a while and take the opportunity to absorb its atmosphere, chill a while, read some more and capture some of our unique culture and heritage.  For this reason we only take 3 night minimum bookings but should you be on your way to the Western Isles and need a place to lay your head before a ferry, please call.
