Wee Brave Wigwam
The ‘Wee Brave’ is our smallest wigwam. It really is a wooden tent, but still cosy and warm, just a little small. It is regularly used by campers who have been washed out of their tents or can’t face another night in a gale, but it has been used by couples and even small families wanting an affordable break, or an extra space along with one of the big wigwams. It has shared facilities (toilet, showers and kitchenette) in the outdoor centre base. It has heating and lighting and an alpine style sleeping platform.
Standard Wigwam
This wigwam uses the shower, toilet and small kitchen facilities in the activity base and has alpine style sleeping platforms with mattresses which are ideal for couple or small families. There is electric heating and lighting.
En-suite Wigwams
Our three en-suite wigwams have a toilet, shower and small kitchen included making it ideal for those wanting that extra comfort!
Our two Minch View wigwams have stunning views across the Minch – no need to visit Neist Point to enjoy the sunset – sit back and chill on your doorstep, while our Garden wigwam has a secluded small and sheltered garden.

WHItewave wigwam Amenities
Located within the grounds of the Whitewave activity centre, the wigwams have been carefully situated to ensure privacy and space for all guests. They enjoy vast stunning views across the Minch to the Outer Hebrides, and you can have the most incredible sunsets from your doorstep. Perfect for exploring Skye, with the Quiriang, the Storr and Rubha Hunish nearby. One of Skye’s few sandy beaches is a short drive away at Staffin and cycling the ‘loop’ around the north end is a great day out. Shop, cafe, fuel and pubs are 4 miles away in the harbour village of Uig. Sleeping packs are available for hire.

“We really loved our stay here. Lovely big shepherds hut/wigwam with modern clean shower room. A hob for cooking on and a small fridge and microwave. The best bit for us was how private, quiet and cosy it was and the little garden space was ideal for the dog to wander on his stake without disturbing anyone. Views are amazing from the front door and garden where we watched the sunset. Welcoming, spotless and would definitely recommend!”
Booking Terms and Conditions
Payment Policy:
To secure your booking we require a minimal non refundable payment with the balance paid in full prior to arrival. Please do not make a booking unless you are in the position to honour it.
Cancellation/No-Show Policy:
In the event of no-shows we do not offer any refund. However, if your booking is cancelled with sufficient notice, we may offer an alternative date suitable to you or a partial refund. Should changes in government guidelines affect your booking, please get in touch.
Smoking:
Smoking is not permitted in the houses, wigwams or in any communal areas.
Dogs:
We are happy for well-behaved dogs with Wigwam bookings only.
Group Bookings:
Please contact us directly for our policy relating to group bookings.
Arrival/Departure Procedures:
We aim to have wigwams/rooms ready for your arrival from 3pm and ask for departure by 11am. All arrivals and departures are very simple – self service with key in door of wigwam or hanging in the porch of the house.
Code of Conduct:
We expect all our visitors to respect and look after the site and the house/wigwam you are staying in. We also require you to respect your fellow visitors and keep noise levels to a minimum after 10.00pm. Parents are responsible for their children who should be supervised at all times.
